Hey /v/, I'm just now trying to get into video games again and I'm not really sure where to start. I used to play a surplus of shitty games along with some good ones, but now, to get myself back into the media type, I want to go through the most essential video games, no matter what console. I've seen some lists online already, and I'd like to see how different the taste is on /v/ compared to more normie websites.
What have you got, guys?

Thanks! I'm absolutely open to anything though. Other favorites are Shadow of the Colossus, Majora's Mask, Mega Man 2, and Mario 64. The general normie shit.

1 is the best to start with. 2 is great, some might say it's even better than 1 but generally has more nagging issues. 3 is easily the weakest, still a great game though. I also recommend checking out the 2d games starting with super metroid.
