It would be a decent 25-30 hours game, but it drags on for so long. Wait for a better sale, the characters are mostly fun and likeable, but I don't know if it's worth it for that alone.

Not OP but,
PS2 games are my favorite games, so I'll definitely get it.

I enjoyed it for what it is but I don't think the combat can carry the game for as long as it was (clocked like 45 hours). I'm of the opinion that most Tales games tend to run too long and would benefit from hacking off a good 5-15 hours depending on the game.
The game's strength is the characters and interactions. I liked the world too.

More with meaningless locations, and filler. The structuring doesn't help either. They have multiple side stories connected to each character, but they never let it resolve during the game and drag it on to the ending. The result is, the game ends for like 10 hours.

Eh game was alright

Tales games always amaze me with how mediocre they are. I've played 5 Tales games and I can't honestly recommend any of them, but I keep playing them and I'll probably play the next one.

I would say, considering the game's greatest forte is its cast which is quite good for a Tales game, the filler portions are not just bearable but some of the best parts.

eh, it's a decent length game. got 50+ hours out of it. story is pretty meh, but the cast is cool. the environments are super bland tho. it feels like 30 should be the base price and then get it on sale for 15-20.

I've only ever played Abyss and Berseria, but I enjoyed both. Abyss was probably better gameplay wise, but I loved Berseria's cast a hell of a lot more

It sadly never delivers on a premise of a super edgy revenge story that it sets up at the beggining. A shame, I have a soft spot for those.
