Overwatch is a classic and it has millions upon millions more players than TF2 ever had.

Are there game modes that freshen up the gameplay yet? I got tired of the rhythm of skirmishing around the chokepoint, building ultimates up, then popping ults to break through chokepoint as defensive team pops their ults to stop you doing that, then if you succeed you move to the next chokepoint and build ults again etc.

In all seriousness though, the problem is that carrying a team in Overwatch is nearly impossible but throwing a match is effortless.
Everyone is terrified, angry, and jaded at the prospect of losing their SR because some dickhead wouldn't switch off Hanzo. Even if someone has a shit SR they can still blame their team because the system only records wins and loses.
You also get penalized for leaving matches, so if it becomes painfully apparent within the first minute that your teammates area bunch of goons you just have to sit there and wait for the game to tell you that you've lost. There's nothing more frustrating than being forced to play a game where you clearly have no chance of winning. Even better is the "don't leave or you'll get penalized" warning that pops up if one of your teammates leaves, which always feels like a massive middle finger from Blizzard.

Played Roadhog a lot last season. Used him to protect healers from flankers and get rid of Genji shits. Stopped playing a month or so ago.

Is he still OK to use in competitive after his "nerf"? Or has he been shunned from the meta group to never return? I'm hoping he's just deterred the guys who don't know how to play him past relying on the hook forever and ever.

I can play Soldier, but I'm not that good with him.

Things I dislike about my characters and myself: often I find myself in situation where Zen and Lucio are in the same team, and people start throwing because they want Ana or Mercy instead.
People used to throw a lot when I picked D.Va last season because "she is nerfed and shit tank", but this season people are happy to see D.Va, especially when someone picks Winston as well.
