Depends on what you're looking to get out of it. Think of it as a walking simulator with resource management and exploration elements.

I personally have put 219 hours into it and 97% of that was enjoyable. The other 3% was getting tired of the grind, and then taking a break for a few weeks. Devs are putting major updates (2 so far, one was base-building, and one was vehicles, next one might be portals), but their communication sucks. It's a pretty niche game.

It's a different flavor of game than Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen.

The only hint of multiplayer is now you can leave messages for other people (kind of like the signs in Dark Souls) and share your base.
