Give it to me straight /v/, is it shit?
>>
It had a very fucking rocky release but all in all it's a good game and I've put 163 hours in so far. Plenty of people have put in a LOT more time than that because it's extremely replayable.
>>
>>381484635
Is it on the bay? Flat broke right now, but need some new vidya.
>>
It's pretty fantastic, to be quite honest.
>>
Well its the best Hitman game to date, which is pretty impressive considering it doesnt have a Jesper score.
>>
>>381484702
It is but I'm not sure how well it works. All of the items and starting locations could only be accessed if you had an internet connection which is part of the reason why the release was so fucked, but they did away with quite a bit of the online only shit and I'm not sure if there's a way around it if you pirate it. Even so, use the pirated version as a demo, you can still use the very basic tools.

Their online verification system was weird. I don't quite know how that would work for piracy. Just fucking buy it. These guys are no longer part of a larger publisher and could use the support.

Doesn't have the chipmunk costume, though.

It's amazing, and all the early adopters, myself included took Squenix' dick in the ass raw to be able to play it. 6 big ass maps with double the amount of missions to play, plus additional game modes.

Now the rights and ownership of the IP and game have been given to the studio, which is now independent. Your money is going straight to the devs, who have done amazingly well in supporting the game, and have removed Denuvo and are now trying to undo the online progress bullshit.
>>
>>381484995
>are now trying to undo the online progress bullshit.
this post is full blown shill
proof of that is that there's no source on the quoted statement whatsoever.
>>

Santa is superior.
>>
>>381484391
No. Literally ludo.
>>
>>381484391
No, it's 2nd best Hitman game, after Blood Money.
>>
>>381485115

confirmed for not keeping up with the game
>>
>>381485843
Took you that long to come up with a response, eh?
Anyway, I do. IO have said nothing of the kind.
Go ahead and post proof of your post though.
>>
I heard that the game itself is good but about half the missions are bad.
>>
>>381485115
Shut the fuck up, since a previous update, you can play offline with the shit you unlocked, but you have to unlock it online first, so it's better than nothing.
>>
>>381484995
Water in this game looks so nice but you can't swim, it's torture.
>>
>>381485992
And here's your source you fucking retard.

>>
>>381486093
Yeah that update was like in February, that's not what that post is saying though.
Are you gonna post a source, are you just gonna keep backpedalling. or are you going to admit you were shilling with the "good guy IO is gonna fix everything" narrative?
>>
>>381486261
so the update was actually in 2016
anyway

Don't know, content is hidden behind seven online paywalls
>>
>>381486719
What does that mean? It has online bullshit, but it's not like uplay or something.
>>
>>381484391
Yeah but the PC version isn't amazing. Extremely CPU heavy to the extent it's unplayable on anything more than a generation or two old because of stuttering.
>>
>>381484391
Do you like Hitman? If the answer is yes, then it's an amazing game.
If you're an ADHD faggot, then no, you will not like it at all.
>>
>>381484391
50/50
Murdering people is bad, even if they are deserving it. Hitman must die for his sins or pay somehow.
>>
>>381487058
You have to be online even to unlock basic weapons
>IN A FUCKING SINGLE PLAYER FRANCHISE
How can this idiots fucked it so bad?
>>
>>381484391
It's arguably the best game in the franchise. Opportunities are a shite mechanic, but overall the levels are much more expansive and explorable than 90% of the games before it. The episodic release hurt the overarching plot a tiny bit, as there wasn't really anything building up too much in the same way as getting targeted by Franchise agents, but overall it's not too bad due to the series' history of level focused storytelling. They keep some aspects of Instinct from Absolution, but since disguises worked like they did in Blood Money, you might as well just disable it.

Overall, if you can get past the online system that they've been slowly removing, it's worth playing. Try the prologue now that it's free. Even the Russian airbase made from fukken cardboard is an amazing level to explore.
>>
>>381487510

>>
>>381487762

Only with the basic assassin kit
>a cord
>a pistol
>a single entry point to each level
Plus plenty of content is only avalaible being online.
I waited for that version, what a joke of "First Season"
>>
>>381488276
It's symbolic you nut. He "died" and came back with a clean slate, dressed in white. It's important for his character arc, considering the events at the end of Silent Assassin, and how he continues to go on to be a hitman.
>>
>>381488308
Easy, play both games there is no contest.
>>
>>381488482
Aren't items unlockable in offline? Just you can't unlock them offline then use them when connected online and vice-versa?
>>
>>381488542
What is the repenting, morale?
>-Hey kids killing people is fun, hired assassin is the best job ever, you will never suffer for I promise.
This is not good.
>>
>>381488276
why did they never show Diana's face in BM?
>>
>>381488617
Except that the Russian Airbase alone, a cardboard mock-up training exercise, has more options to carry out your mission than even Blood Money's better levels like A New Life. That's not even getting to Paris or the absolute beast that was Sapienza.
>>
>>381488710
You have to be online to unlock items, entry points, elusive targets, and so on.
Being offline you can only use your basic kit and enemy weapons/map items.
Most of the content is blocked online for no reason.
>>
>>381484391

Silent Assassin was all about 47 trying to repent for his sins but finding out that he was too far gone and damned to be the bad guy even though he only ever killed bad guys
Blood Money has even that life crash down all around him due to the machinations of others in his line of work. Fucker had no legacy because he had to wipe out every trace of himself to survive.
Moral of the story is that 47 is nothing but a tool that's meant to feel bad

Play the games

Turn opportunities off straight after the tutorial. Opportunities are just a glorified tutorial and too many people are way too retarded to know that you can turn them off and end up playing the entire game with the enables.
>>
>>381491926
You know that reminds me, 47 is also kind of always stuck with cleaning up messes for the organization too.
>>
Season 2 needs Agent Smith in an active role. Bonus for Ling Mei/Wei whatever the fuck her name was. Also I fucking need to know who Mr X is, fuck the Shadow Client

The new Hitman game is the worst shit I have EVER played in the entire 24 years of my life...

Yes.

It's really THAT bad. Let me explain...

I was quite broke at the time, so I went to the hospital to see how my grandma was doing, because she is currently fighting cancer and feels really lonely in her room.

As a tradition, she usually gives me some money to "buy myself some ice-cream" like when I was younger. So, she gave me $60.

Obviously, I didn't use it to buy ice-cream...

Instead, I went on Steam, and purchased the new Hitman game. The reason I chose it, is because I used to play the old Hitman II at my grandma's house, so buying this game was to somehow remind me of her.

The problem is, that the new Hitman was a huge freaking SCAM, and it didn't give me memories of the good time I had at my grandma's place. What I got instead, was rage and anger!

Remember, I paid 60 fucking bucks for this!! Money that my DYING grandma gave me. Maybe even the last thing she'll ever give me...

Anyways, the game had ONE fucking level. Yes. You heard it right. One level. And in order to play more levels, you had to wait two months for the vulture devs to release new content.

On top of that, if your internet connection was slower than 100mbps... you were pretty much fucked. Why on earth would I need to stay online, in order to play a single player game?

These two points made me uninstall this joke of a game (if we can even call it a game) within a week. I wish I had realized it was snake-oil faster, so I could have benefited from the Steam refund policy.

This been said, I still regret--to this day--using my grandma's money to buy an incomplete game made by a team of SCAMMERS.

Don't waste your money on this SHIT. Even if it's $0,99 during the current Steam Sale.

Don't make the same mistake, as I did.
>>
>>381484881

>>
>>381484391

Its ok
>>
It's the best game since Blood Money. Very fun, very replayable. It does have some flaws however, but nothing deal breaking
>>
>>381494157
but is it better than blood money? I played the demo and the stupid opportunities shit almost made me turn off my computer.
>>
>>381484391
I've been having a blast with the free tutorial, I'll probably pirate it later this month.
>>
>>381493336
No. It's just my opinion/experience with this shitty game, after playing Hitman, II, Contracts, Blood Money, and Absolution.

It's worse than some scammy kickstarter game, asking you to pay to "unlock" the rest of the game.

Pathetic.

P.S: The story is true. And yes, I know it looks like a copy-pasta, but that's just how I write when I want to express my opinion on a TRASH game.
>>
>>381494551
You can turn things relating to opportunities off. They still exist in the game, it just doesn't hold your hand and the game is perfectly playable with it turned off.
>>
>>381494905
>hasn't played Codename 47
That's how you know this is bait
>>
>>381494905

m8 it's not a scam if they literally state what their release plan is beforehand
I bought it during Black Friday when all episodes were out and I had a great time
>>
>>381492854
lol you're poor and your grandma is dead.

Game is utterly fantastic, probably the best one ever. Just be sure to turn off the hand holding options.
>>
>>381494551
If you turn off Opportunity notifications it's basically identical. It's just an optional easy thing to make the game easier for those who need it.

You can turn off everything that makes the game easier. Tips, Oportunities, Hud, Minimap. If you want it to, the game will let go of absolutely all handholding. Just change your options.
>>
>>381494551
You can turn that part of the UI off. There's also a 'hard' mode that hides opportunities whether you like it or not.
>>
>>381495493
>ever wanting to play Codename 47
I mean he's still baiting but why the fuck would you ever want to play that garbage

No but the business practices surrounding it were, doesn;t matter now since Square Enix did IO a favor and dropped them. Now they're an indie studio (albeit looking for a publisher) so there shouldn't be any episodic bullshit with season 2. That being said it's on sale for 23 burgerbux right now which is well worth it even when considering the fact that you'll miss out on a chunk of the elusive target bullshit.
