There is a circle that gets smaller and smaller over time and if you're outside the circle you die so it'll force everyone to the center until there's a last person standing. It's alright. A problem is the maps in these games are pretty big, much bigger than the biggest Battlefield maps. Also this genre with a small amount of players would be fucking boring. The only reason they are fun is 100 man deathballs

First person would be just as bad camping wise. If you are entering a building in a first person only game, you are just fucked by the camper. Also first person needs a whole overhaul, it feels super clunky to move around in.

I am more annoyed that before they optimized the game, they decided adding ten times more grass was a good idea. Not only did everyone lose some frames from there just being a ton more grass, but end game is literally proning in grass or wheat fields.

Its fine but the looting downtime tends to be pretty boring solo but atleast with friends you can talk over that part of the game. Then if you play solo, you could just die out of nowhere after spending 10 minutes looting and looking for people who just end up camping it in a building and killing you

-some sort of consumable radar, that you can find
-allow people to surrender to you instead of killing them, or tie them up or something, having hostages and winning should give you more points
-add seasons, in winter there should be snow everywhere and you should be able to follow people's footsteps and track them down that way. roads are slipry and you can easily crash with vechicles
-animals, deers, cows, foxes, wolves, sharks, crocodiles, snakes. all of which might or might not attack you if provoked
-tanks that'll run out of fuel after a short while
just off the top of my head. i think they should stick with the one-map design, it's good, now they can just keep refining the map, kinda like dota.
if they added moba elements, like leveling but where it only matters in that one game, that could be cool.

PUBG is just barely passable, I guess. The funny thing is, you can see how great a game like this would be if it had the polish of a AAA studio.

Basically it takes DayZ, polishes the gunplay, and then takes out everything about DayZ that makes it a tedious, boring and insufferable game. If they don't start adding more maps or vehicles or gameplay elements soon it's gonna run out of steam though
