Steam has Tyranny on the Summer Sale. Should I buy it or not? I like PoE & CRPGs in general.
Game may seem deep at first, but it's quite shallow. The choices you make actually determine which colored mooks you beat up for most of the game. At a certain point a bunch of new shit opens up for your character to do that would look cool, but that's also right when the game just flat out ends. It seems like a half finished game that the devs suddenly rushed the fuck out of it at the last minute.

Its more linear than Pillars of Eternity, its definitely a guided adventure with some variation based on your choices. Also, play a Mage. Combat isn't as fun with any other class. Writing is great, combat is meh. Best enjoyed if you want to role play as an evil character, as there's a lot of opportunity to play as an opportunistic, selfish bastard. Probably the reason I enjoyed the game.
