The other games are alright but the first one really fucking nailed it. Every other game tries to meet that standard and some of them come close but none do. The first four chapters are perfection. Everything else in the series is bonus if you really want more.

Honestly the original AA is overrated. 1-1 is a great intro, 1-2 is pretty bad in general, 1-3 is dragged out and has useless shit like the card fetch quest, and even 1-4, while pretty good, has some eh moments (you figure out that von Karma wrote the murder plan literally just because it's an option the game gave you and the other two choices were retarded, not because of actual investigating). Overall, the game really gets hit hard by the lower quality of the investigation sequences compared to later games.

It actually had a conclusive plot and a message, unlike the original Ace Attorney series, which got too wrapped up in its story.
Seriously, the entire plot of Apollo Justice is basically "Phoenix manipulates people to change the justice system", which is pretty cool.
The plot of original Ace Attorney series is "a clusterfuck of events, where literally no one has an idea what they are doing".
