$8 is worth it to see if it's your kind of game, and since it's steam you can always refund it if it doesnt appeal to you. The game is very obtuse and nothing is explained, any "guides" are outdated and obsolete.

Really fun though.

Combat is top of the line, but the game is a massive autistic grindfest. The mob/boss AI is pretty shit so you'll be basically playing dynasty warrior style as much as possible. Most of the difficulty is artificial, that is, it's all about damage checks. If you don't have sufficient attack/defense required for a certain mob it'll take ages. But the grind and minmax is insane, players spend hundreds of millions/billions for that extra 2 attack. The "Life Skills" or Professions are all just a way of earning more silver to minmax your shit with.
