Games /v/ hates yet you love
>>381467628
Oh I fucking adored this game before hutt cartel, then I just stopped playing because it time ran out for me, but from the closed beta up until then, best mmo I've ever played.
>Decide to try the game out because its free and its the slow part of the year
>make a Sith Warrior
>Force choke option up pretty much any time you're speaking to imperial officers.
>First major quest chain sees you gut a rival Sith Lord's wife then force throw her against th wall before killing his son.
>Every plot point offers you to either murder your enemy or bend them to your will for the climax of turning against your master.
>At one point I found a batallion of Republic Soldiers who brokered a deal. They would serve me if exchange for their lives. Once theydid their task I turned around and killed them anyway
>Your apprentice character is gained when you kill/corrupt her jedi master then corrupt her and take her as your apprentice
>First companion is a slave whom you can keep collard for the whole game and shock any time she speaks until she just stops speaking.
>Most recent expansion saw you doing stuff like force neck snapping people
Got more enjoyment out of this game
Yeah, I still want a proper KOTOR 3, but as MMOs go, it was actually really good. Not much endgame and group content, I get that, but I prefer soloing anyway, and the expansions have been excellent. Still not my favorite, that's got to be Secret World hands-down, but it's way better than people give it credit for.

Are you aware that Secret World is re-releasing this month with updated everything?
Tortanic could be so much more. Only game aside from Wow that had proper targeting and casting and didn't feel clunky as fuck. Pve was also pretty close to wow. Plenty to do outside of Pvp and Pve.
Now the bad part is, the game (engine) still feels incomplete (can't swim). Devs went full jew mode with packs and cosmetics. Left Pvp community in the dirt. Pve was alright but no new raids since 2012. Now casualized and streamlined the content so much that you can solo 4 man instances, solo the content without any trouble, if you are a subscriber then you can't even enjoy the story because you'll be ahead of levels so much that after the 3rd planet, you'll be ahead by 10 levels at least. Daily elites are just time consuming and not challenging. Hutt Cartel is boring shit.
Now it gets worse. That fucking Fallen Empire expansion. No personalized story anymore. Companions gone. Literally who cares characters. No raids/pvp content.
THEN it gets even worse with the SECOND fallen empire xpac. Now you can play for free but guess what, you won't get space currency which is the currency for everything in the game. No loot in the instances anymore, just this space currency.
Fuck this.
SWTOR thread? Post best waifu

You already did

>tfw you played this game since early beta
>secretly enjoyed it while also shitposting in tortanic threads
>>381469245
>Not posting qt khemmy
>>381467873
you made a good choice.
the individual stories were top notch. all were completely different with their own themes and characters, but they all existed within each other and really made you feel like they each have their own impact on the galaxy.
after that and the expansions started coming out it turned to shit. hutt cartel is boring and pointless so is the revan one and each class had the exact same story.
and the new eternal empire expansions while a lot more story focused is actually even worse and can barely be called star wars. nothing to do with the jedi and sith or republic vs empire.

Damn it, know I have to look for sith women porn again

Its really the biggest guilty please game i have ever had. Im not even sure why i enjoy it.
This game is really underrated in my opinion. I don't know what it is about this game, but it's tied with star fox 64 for me, but I know that's subjective. I get the whole ground mission thing, but I didn't seem to mind most of them and for some reason the ending just stuck out to me for how weird and fucked up it was, especially for a kid's game.
I thought Gone Home was a fun little grounded story and don't really understand the hate.

FFX is great, I don't think I've ever seen /v/ shit on it beyond obvious baitposts.
>>381471253
Gone Home has hate?
Is Knights of the Fallen Empire good?

Bioware has a knack for writing stories that are emotionally satisfying. They make you feel good and powerful. Swtor is also not a complete mess of a game mechanically. It has button bloat like a lot of WoW-derivatives but is otherwise kind of fun.
It's definitely a strange one. The MMO and story elements really clash pretty heavily but each one is competently done enough to where you don't mind.
If it dropped the MMO shit and focused its assets completely on the stories and singleplayer gameplay then it could have been great.
Much like Thief: DS I find this game to be very enjoyable and believe it to be exceptionally well designed, and I don't really mind the switch to smaller maps.

I haven't been on /v/ in years so maybe things have turned around but back in the day it was THE game to shit on for being a "walking simulator" or sjw garbage because it included a lesbian relationship as a plot point.

He's such a good boy.
I really think it's the best of third-person RE games.

I didn't hate the game, but the on-rails platforming is such a huge step down from the Sands of Time Trilogy. But I mostly blame Assassian's Creed for the reason they went that direction.
Why did Assassin's Creed have to ruin platformers by making it all practically automatic and boring?
TOR is fine, people just had no idea, and didn't play the betas that were open to literally fucking everyone then complained when it wasn't what they wanted. The scummy hiding the unsubscribe button shit bioware pulled was awful though, for sure.
Does Dungeon Keeper get shit on a lot? Dungeon Keeper.
If not, Zoo Tycoon.
>>381468265
People don't hate it here, nobody denies it has great aesthetics, it was just way too easy.
>>381471763
Re5 was fucking amazing to play on Co-op
>>381471951
Dungeon Keeper for mobile platforms get a lot of shit and very justifiably, original DK games are universally are revered.
