This was actually something that I really liked.

Early on the fast travel items are rare and you're a poorfag so you really have to ration them and walk every where on foot, but once you reach the later portion of the game you'll have so much money that you can buy them in bulk and use them all the time.

It's a nice feeling of progression.

Most of the classes are perfectly viable and each one has something completely unique about them, but the three hybrid classes are completely broken in some way or another. Magick Archer in Biterblack Isle completely trivializes the game.

but you do some pretty cool things in DD, but there are lots of bounty board sidequests too that are mostly escorts or kill things quests. the big named special side quests are the cool ones, and the main quest is pretty decent

Not similar at all to NV. NV is more about how your character influences the fate of a region and its inhabitants and exploring how post-post apocalyptic societies might comport themselves and how they'd interact when at each other's throats.

Most of the fun in DDDA is concentrated in renting pawns, combat, taking in the atmosphere of the dungeons, exploring the world, and trying to make sense of the plot that the game throws at you.

Is it possible to make my wife?

I tried making Sheva once and it is literally impossible even though it's a Capcom game, no matching facial structure, eyes or nose. I ended up making an OG delicious brown Ranger and it was the only good looking created character i ever managed to make in my life. I loved her so much that i bothered to note all the sliders for the future, then my laptop died and now she is lost forever, like tears in the rain :(

I'd say that it's like MH in the broad strokes sense of it's a fantasy game about hunting giant monsters, it's more like MH than most games are,

frankly DD is similar to horizon zero dawn in my opinion. and in some ways to those japanese monster hunter clones that aren't too popular

but those crossovers are STRICTLY planned, coordinated, and calculated. they didn't buy the rights for the Berserk shit for more than the PS3 and 360 versions, so they cannot use them anymore

I was in the same position when I played it for the first time. Dropped it and considered it a wasted purchase. A few years and a few playthroughs later it's one of my favorite games of all time.
