Besides the Pokémon games which everyone recommends. I'm tired of reading only Tae Kim's and Heisig's books, time for some fun immersion.

The Anki memory game is definitely the most exciting and useful game for learning. Just yesterday I did over 700 reps of pure fun and today I got another 500 lined up. I'm shaking with anticipation!

Then you'll never learn Japanese. Deal with it.
Go play a VN like Nekopara or Corona Blossom. They have the ability to display both English and Japanese at the same time.

The Taiko no Tatsujin RPG mode has furigana reading on all Kanji's. Might be good to help practicing

Give visual novels a try. You get people talking all the time plus kanji. Best way to learn. Download visual novels that aren't porn because that's all they are, a lot of oniichan you got a big dikku. Download the big ones that have stories.

I learned a lot of Japanese by playing HRPG games. Go to /hgg2d/ on /vg/. In my opinion these are the best games to try and read Japanese since you are masturbating every day anyway so it forces you to read Japanese daily which will train your reading speed and comprehension pretty fast.
Also keep farming words in Anki and try to learn all the 2100 kanji.
>>381447498
I'm a good christian, sorry.
Anki is boring as fuck, I didn't have a nice experience with it, not sure if I should continue studying with it.
>>381447695
There are even HRPG games with nuns anon. Don't worry you're covered.
About anki. Yeah if you dislike it just drop it. Reading is the best way to make shit stick anyway. If you have an android phone you can try the new duolingo. Although there is a good chance you are already too advanced to really learn much from it.
The problem with learning Japanese is to find the motivation to do something daily in Japanese. Most people have huge motivation when it comes to sexual stuff that's why I recommended reading porn.
>>381439465
Nice bait
Why do we have like 4 threads about the Japanese language in /v/ right now? Isn't 1 enough?
>>381449279
because its summer, anon
>>381449279
Most people start learning Japanese during summer holiday. I started 2 years ago during summer as well. And I recommend everyone to do it. Because that 1-2 months off from college gives you just enough time to start reading basic Japanese stuff. So when uni starts again you can keep reading Japanese stuff without having to drop learning it.
>>381440015
Get PSO2 with the english patch. The main stuff is translated, but all the events aren't
>>381441043
Don't remember such thing in the DS and PSP games, is it only for the latest?
>>381441043
>using furigana
It might help when you're starting, but it makes you lazy and makes learning kanji harder on the long run, so I wouldn't recommend it.
I jumped into the deep end with RGG0 just knowing kana and >10 kanji. Fandom's one hell of a motivator, but it's not the most educational game for a beginner. Still managed to learn some moonrunes by sheer repetition and pattern recognition.
>>381439615
Wrong. Weeaboos killed this board long before normies took a shit on it
This shithole has always revolved around japshit and anime, but at least back then we had standards. Now any japanese shovelware title is held in high regard and you have losers learning a soon to be dead language just to read their mangos and autistic porn vns

Ok I am assuming you know 0 Japanese yet and want to try and learn Japanese this summer?
What I did at the very start was learn hiragana+katakana. I watched this edgy faggot explain it to me and did everything he commanded in the videos which was great BTW I recommend you do the same thing.
https://youtu.be/oZEA54VJEdE?list=PL9987A659670D60E0
Afterwards I went to Realkana website to train my hiragana and katakana after every lesson.
After 1-2 weeks of 1-2 hours a day you'll master the writing systems.
After that I read the DJT Japanese guide. I grabbed the Anki Core 2000/6000 from there. Basically it teaches you the 6000 most common japanese words. At the same time I also started reading Tea Kim which was a online blog about Japanese grammar. I only read through it once without getting it to stick in my head just to get a basic understanding of what I will get to see in the Japanese language eventually.
Then (around 1 month from starting Japanese) I got a Wanikani account. Which is a paid service that claims to teach you 2000 kanji within a 1 year time period. It costs around $50 a year and it was worth the money simply for how easily it teaches you the Kanji.
After this I just had a daily routine of 1 hour of Wanikani+1 hour of anki. And then I went to masturbate on some Hentai Doujinshi or hentai games.
Seriously it's 100% due to hentai that I am now able to read Japanese. Because I masturbate every day anyway I was able to "find the motivation" to read Japanese due to masturbating to it.
All the things like grammar etc just started to get understood by my brain with time without explicitly learning them just by exposure.
If you want to know some more details just ask. But this is basically it.

>And then I went to masturbate on some Hentai Doujinshi or hentai games
Ahhh so there´s my problem. I immediately went to this step, without doing the necessary prep work
