Remember in 2 how you had a hero unit that lead the smaller units? Replace the smaller units with just heroes and you have Patapon 3. I hadn't gotten far in it but I remember one guy here complaining about the abysmal droprates on some of the endgame stuff and it takes something like 10 minutes per attempt to even try to get 1 of them. There's something like 33 of them with the rate getting worse each time you get a new one.

It had online.
Its terribly balanced though, and the fighting is a lot different. It had PVP and a strange storyline.
It got free DLC that was impossible as far as I could tell and heavy RNG for rare items.
I found maybe 1~2 slayer weapons in my hundreds of hours of playing.
Not a single God weapon...
Its a grindfest basically.

Armies only.
Far more lenient drop rates.
Rework bosses so you can choose what level you want to fight, but lock certain items to certain level ranges so you can't just farm the base one for the best items. It gets to be ridiculous having to fight bosses level 50+ and if you don't get a single drop from a boss at those ranges you may as well revert your save because it's a massive waste of a fight and it only gets harder to stun them.

Yes, but it's always the same rhythm.
If I remember right, only miracle commands stick out and you don't use them that frequently.

Definitely return to big armies
Perhaps some less linearity? like with an actual world map and a choice of which missions and path you'll be taking? Territory conquest and defence against other tribes would be sweet. Control over different territories could give you access to different bosses, units, resources etc.
Basically I would like to see a light, non complicated Patapon strategic game, with some plot and story missions tied in as well.

Completely different type of game but the style and music is fantastic. Put it this way: If you are a perfectionist or like to 100% games you are going to have a nightmare playing it. If you just want to relax and don't care about 20/20 Loco Rocos at the end of a level in a certain time limit with everything collected you'll be just fine.

This was my religious game on the PSP. I loved 2 & 3 so much, pretty much grinded all the heroes in 3 out before completing it because I enjoyed seeing their abilities and what not. It's a shame the online servers went out a year later.
