You really should play the ps2 titles. You could get a ps2, component, and all 3 games for under 100. If you have a 3ds, ahl is a great title you could start. Or for under 70 you could get a 360 and 6.

Both. You can play them seperately without knowing anything but elements from previous games are referenced and the stuff will probably go over your head as just another piece of worldbuilding unless you played the previous game.

I played in the order of 4>5>Zero

4 didn't have that big of an impact on me unfortunately, might be because it was a bit different (shorter, more dated) than I expected. Shame, cause I wish I felt the glory behind the legend of Mobius 1.

5 is when the series clicked with me, the whole ride was just fantastic.

Zero was great, but felt like it was missing something. A reason to fight, perhaps.

I finished the holy trilogy last week for the first time.
