Original 2033 is the only Metro game I played. How much did Last Light Redux actually change compared to the original? I know 2033 Redux changed a lot of the lighting which is why I never bothered with it since I loved the moody atmosphere that game had.

Can't remember anything from the second game apart from that one minigun scene. Why is the second game so forgettable compared to the first one?

Is this game just a hipster meme? Because I've tried to play it about 10 times now and always quit about three hours in due to the awful gameplay, awful characters, awful voice acting, awful everything except the scenes of the alien walking towards me. The game even glitched the fuck out on one of them in a tunnel part where I was with a few survivors and had to protect them while I was being attacked from like dog things. The characters would never move forward, just stood there and then fell through the ground.

I've tried to play it on PC and PS4. I own both of the games on both platforms. Help convice me to give it an 11th fucking try, I guess.

As video games, as stories, as exploration games, everything

A 2 weapon limit, but you can upgrade specific guns? Why?
Why is it that your whole fucking screen goes red if you don't have meds? The game becomes unplayable
Why is every combat area completely uninspired and terrible designed?
Why is the stealth so basic and broken?
Why is the voice acting ear rape? Why is the writing so bad? Why does your character not talk inside the game world?
The currency system is stupid, the bosses are lame, gunplay is shit, everything

Best of all?
They're both like a COD campaign more than anything, scripted shit up the ass, the game never stops showing its retarded story down your neck

I felt like a retard the first time I played the game, got out in the open outside world, couldn't figure out where to go, didn't realise the compass pointed to the objective and wasn't just a compass.

Yes my very first xbox game and now im playing ll and having a blast. Really good looking game for xbox standarts and im getting heavy vibes since its very arcadey with its boss fights differwnt weapons etc. Would be nice if story was skipable and stealth qouldnt be piss easy and i could by something with my ammo otherwise great series

If I remember right, the original LL's ranger mode was bullshit compared to the 2033. Unlike 2033, you couldn't check how much ammo you had at all, only when you were at shops, while in 2033 you could use your journal to see your total ammo. QTE were still kept in LL's ranger mode, but they removed the HUD so you could not see the key it wanted you to press. LL Redux fixes these issues and a couple others. However the original Metro 2033 is still the best game in the series

Nah, other than some gameplay improvements and some slightly upped graphics, LL Redux is fairly similar to the regular LL

In the Original Stealth is fucking easy, stralth killing was difficult however, yet through 2 mins of trial and error yoo should know how it works.

Use throwing knifes for silent kills 10/10 times. If there's an armored enemy throw the knife into his back where there's no armor, guns or ammo.

But if you really wanns stealth kill everything use the Helsing. You can shoot a guy right next to his friend and he won't notice, I usually aim for the back of the neck, never fails to kill them stealthy

I did, then I played the redux version and liked it better, I don't see anything wrong with redux and it's perfectly fine, I still prefer stalker tho.

I loved Metro 2033, but what almost ruined it was that acid ball escort mission. I wasted almost all of my premium ammo on them.
