ITT tropes you like
>the church are the bad guys
>protagonist and antagonist team up to fight a greater evil
>go back to fighting each other once it's dealt with
>Protagonist is grossly overpowered.
>He knows that.
Vice City and DMC are my jam.
I actually hate that trope
>church is a bunch of redneck hillbillies doing satanic shit they somehow got from the bible
Fucking horror games, every single time

OP is a fag, they do that shit too often. Low hanging fruit
>>381405171
>protagonist is OP at the beginning of the game
>loses his powers but slowly gains them back until he's even more OP at the end of the game
>the religious are the innocent ones
>>381405451
It's fun in JRPGs cause they design them with the whole holy crusader paladin aesthetic in mind.
Like, the FF14 Heavensward final boss was the coolest shit.
>>381405547
cry some more you cousin fucking hillbilly
>>381405795
>You can't make me go to church mom, I'm 13 now
>steep-ass decline
>you slide down it to jump at the end in slow motion
>>381405852
>Enemy screams out toward the sky
>Receives buffs

I have literally never seen this trope averted
You must be a happy fag OP
>the communists are the dumb brute bad guys
>>381405769
>JRPGs
General Hugo was the best oneThe whole game you think he's just pretending to be religious to exploit people, but then you fight him and realize he really is a crazy religious nutjob
>>381405547
But /v/ likes SMT games.
>>381405171
characters each have their own music theme
for example I liked how in golden sun 2, if you switched to the protagonist of 1 as the party leader it would play the battle theme from 1 during random encounters
I have a soft spot for music-related tropes in general, music that gets more intense when shit gets real and stuff like that
as much as I disliked assassin's creed 3 I liked how it did this
if I developed a game it would definitely be filled with shit like that
>>381405243
Not gonna lie, dindu Sephiroth looks neat
>Game has boss fights that are giant monsters
>The hardest boss fights in the game are of normal people your size
>>381406480
I kind of like all of them except Cloud, the artist went a bit overboard with Tifa's ass though
and no, I'm not Irish
>>381406379
We like reddit too
>>381405171
>Someone stronger than the protagonist and villain gets in their way
>Protagonist and villain team up to fight the stronger character
>The 2 of them end up being best friends
>>381406308
I love Metro
>>381406450
pretty much every game does this including pokemon...
>>381406609
>>381405243
Why the FUCK do games not do this anymore?
You're the villain and everyone else were the real good guys trying to stop you.
>fighting final boss
>suddenly a new faction appears
>everything goes to hell
>team up with boss and minions to save world
>>381406658
good thing I enjoy it then.....................
..................
>character looks and acts like a swell guy
>secretly insane.
Always find these characgers intriguing.
>>381406480
Dinduroth looks like an incredible RPG character.
>main villain is completely silent until the final and only interaction with them.
>villain joins your party permanently
>You got betrayed in the beginning
>Boss acts like he's getting his shit kicked in
>Boss starts taking the fight seriously after a while
>Fucks up the main character in a couple of seconds
>you go back to an early area of the game
>everything went to shit
>all of the encounters are more difficult
>>381405171
*tips fedora*
>>381407159
LITERALLY L I T E R A L L Y THIS
>right hand to big bad is exactly as strong as you
>in your final duel he finally says something
>simbly ebic fight ensures.
>Villain turns over a new leaf
>Hours of the story are spent on the villain realizing how fucked up the stuff they did were and trying to gain the trust of the protagonist
>It was all a giant ruse and the villain didn't change at all
>>381407448
>Final area of the game is the first area of the game or some other inconsequential location all fucked up or turned evil
>bonus points if it's somewhere you visit a lot
>>381407253
Context? I don't want to read 300+ chapters of this shit.
