Is this shaping up to be the best roguelite?
No, it lacks variability.
Fun though.
Not regretting the purchase honestly, but I'd really like for some more content patches, the last one was a pretty decent update all in all. More bosses would definitely be a good fit, considering there's only two outside of counting elite versions of enemies.
The levels feel the same after a few run throughs but its still fun
I've had this game on my wishlist for a while now, since I admit I am sucker for this type of art direction, should I just buy during summer sale? Yes or no, lease give arguments to your answer.
Gonna be hard to beat Isaac. I'll probably never stop playing it.

I'm waiting until it's out of early access.

I admit to buying early access games to support the devs if I like the game, bit myself in ass a few times, namely ark and nms preorder(I am ashamed for falling for that one the most), that's why I want to see if I should support it now
Looks fun. It's one of those games that I get really close to buying on multiple occasions

It'll never beat Risk of Rain so no.

It's fun enough until you figure out how to win, I guess you could then give yourself challenge runs, but outside of that it does lack content.
However what it's launched with I'd say is worth the price, and knowing that the dudes behind are pretty chill so far is a good reason to support them

actually this

I stopped playing Issac when Tyrone started depowering fun items in a single player game, it just got a lot less enjoyable for me, and considering it's more or less finished now with the exception of the booster packs, I don't see myself going back.
