Not him but I appreaciate even speedrunning more than mmr in popular teambased games. They atleast have passion and do it because they like the game and want to self improve. I cannot relate because I basically played Dota for 10+ years (counting wc3). Only other popular rank game I played was Overwatch but then again you could say "durr you played tf2 and quake so ofc youre better". In both games top 1% is still the exact same when the shit hits the fan. People start talking about their ranks and how theyre smurfs and that theyre much better than everyone else in the team yada yada... MMR is supposed to be the number used to create games not to be some metric for your penis size but hey here we are. Like I have very hard time believing that someone genuinely likes the GAME_PLAY in Overwatch or even in Dota 2. Both games fun comes from the interaction you can have with other people but in majority of the games well people just wanna throw shit and cry about winning mmr.
