Ballistics are almost exactly like in ArmA 3, and when the beta update hits (next one) we get whole new gunplay including manual bolt cycling, tactical reloading, jamming and other stuff. also they want to make it more like arma 3's movement and gunplay.

And what angers me slightly, is that its a fucking running simulator, there's like nothing to do, weapon variety is non existent because half the weapons they implemented are either different variations or super rare to find. and to sum that up, the melee fighting which I totally forgot existed is super garbage, including gunplay its just awful.
Basebuilding is what made DayZ super popular among the Epoch/Overpoch community and what gave people a reason to actually continue playing.

I play it as a role-playing-game and survival simulator.
It simulates a post-apocalyptic world pretty thoroughly, simply because player interactions are SO random and can happen at any time

There will be tons of new guns in the beta update, but if you feel like there is nothing to do, then the game isn't for you.

It's pretty similiar to warband, you write your own story, just in multiplayer.
