I wanted to like it. In fact I think I did like it at first. But at some point, several hours in, I realised I was getting very bored, so I gathered up enough nigger goo to get the short range teleport and the slow-motion mutations and once I had those I could basically speedrun to the end of the game.

That's cool and all, but the combat is literally the worst I played in the last 5 years. No fun: the game.

And the problem is that it's very easy to become it, even in Nightmare I had well over 70 medkits, plenty of armor kits and ammo and I didn't even touch most of the typhon abilities, just got the first tier of mimic and maxed the combat slowdown.

Shit once you get a good halfway to a third of the way through you can just wrench everything in slow mo and kill a nightmare without needing a reload

I started playing it not long ago, didn't expect anything out of it.

I'm really pleasantly surprised. The combat is by the book, and the story can be delivered quite poorly since the game is not linear enough to control the pace at which you are given the plot elements.

But I like the way you interact with computers ( why hasn't anybody else used that system since doom 3? ), the possible customization of your playstile, and I especially enjoy just wandering and exploring the station...

It's not the best game ever, but it's still a good one. I understand people being angry with Zenimax and what they did to prey 2. A shame this game had to be ill considered because of that...

Arkane should be studied. They always manage to make everything boring and shallow no matter how good it sounds on paper. It's amazing.

I was enjoying it until everytime I leave and re-enter an area new enemies have spawned.
I just think it's going to get really tedious now because of all the backtracking, with getting new keywords and all. Which is a shame, because I've been enjoying Prey so far.

Heres my only beef with the game. it completely destroys the impact of your choices by always giving you an alternate path into a room that requires no skill point investment.
