Best part about underwater was killing plesioth in his own element. Asshole had gone on long enough fucking around out of bounds firing jet streams. Water was annoying but it was manageable and not too punishing so long as you gave yourself more time to react to tells.

It'd be better if you had i-frames and it didn't massively gimp most weapons.

DB is high risk, high reward if you want to do some actual damage. It has a lot in common with the Great Sword where you need to be stationary for a few seconds and defenseless to pull off a major attack.

DB is harder because unlike the Great Sword, you can't immediately abort if you've committed to a combo where as the Great Sword is just a charge you can roll cancel out of.

Caveat: Unless you played primarily with SnS. SnS underwater is borderline un-useable. Little to no forward momentum, terrible reach, etc. If you mained SnS then you have the right to be a little salt about Swimming. That said, I'm glad the weapon got some love from 4U onward, even if I don't play it like, ever.

Swimming is total shit for some weapons and fucking great for others, it really depends on what you play. Like Bow is pretty much ass in the water, but bowguns are okay. Guard Lance is easily the king of water combat though, it's just too fucking good.
