Is there any real reason why this game has to have such a forced triangle design? Why couldn't Red Mage be a dps healer hybrid? Why can't a party that has Red Mage just agree to have the healer do more dps to make up for it? Why does the game have to punish unique strategies and classes so hard that we are stuck with this constant forced meta?
Yoshida claimed that people who play healer or tank stick to it while dps users stick to dps, but in his logic he completely missed an obvious point
>Heavensward had a dps, healer, and tank
>Stormblood only has dps
Therefore all players who want to try a new class are going to use dps, whereas before a healer main could try a new healer.
