Major downgrade from 0 and Ishin in everything that isn't graphics, and even graphics aren't worth the downgrade from 1080p 60 FPS to 900p 25 FPS on regular PS4 with massive screen tearing. Pro can choose between stable 1080p 30 FPS and checkboard 4K with same ~25 FPS with massive screentearing as on regular PS4.

Parts of Kamurocho that were even in original Y1 on PS2 are removed entirely, not just replaced but literally removed, map is flat out smaller (Purgatory, Hotel District, Underground).
Many staple minigames cut (sure there are new ones in their place but many are absolute shit and there aren't as many new ones as there were cut).
MMO Fetch Quest sidequests and those are the only sidequests you will find for the most part.
Kiryu's maxed out moveset is far more limited than original Y1 Kiryu maxed out moveset on fucking PS2.
Komaki removed, Komaki techniques removed.
Far more QTE than the series ever had.
Only two towns - Kamurocho and Hiroshima, both empty with fuck all to do with Kamurocho being smallest its ever been in the series.
Seamless loading is exclusive only to select locations and even then it's not actually seamless, it still loads the combat part, it just loads it in the background. Look at OP's video around 7 minute mark, Kiryu runs into thugs point blank, stays like a doofus there for good 3 seconds before the combat actually loads, being unable to attack while it's loading. And once it loads you can see some background NPCs miraculously vanish. The big selling point, seamless combat, is basically smoke and mirrors blatant fucking lie.
Also lock on is Y1 PS2 tier bad.

Story is focused around the chinatown ownership bullshit with off the charts levels of China pandering because the series took off massively in China around the end of PS3 life.
Chinese versions of 0 and 6 even have special changes made specially for them. For 0 Lao Gui is changed to some popular in chinkland gook star because he was a deliberately ugly borderline Jiang-Shi looking motherfucker in JP (and English) version.
For 6 they mention Taiwan belonging to China and being a province, when in reality Taiwan is an independent country that China is still salty about.

Also, been waiting for a Yakuza thread to say this - I want an "Old West" Yakuza game. Similar to Ishin, and it'd take inspiration from westerns (which took inspiration from samurai movies). Gangs, bar brawls, good minigame potential, would probably have a neat soundtrack, could add the gun mechanics from Ishin, etc etc. What do anons think?
