Andromeda has a better pace when it comes to the open world aspect (since the mounts in DAI were worthless). Don't know wheter it's more or less buggy than the unpatched DAI, since I only played it with the latest patch.

Andromeda was a pile of sweaty diarrhea. I don't think there's a single aspect of it that I would defend. It's such a piece of shit that the only positive things I can say about it are 'it didn't rape my parents and set my house on fire' but I feel like it would if it could. That would actually require skill and effort though.

There are a few quests per world, were you only need to find objects in enemy bases, but aside from that I liked the side quests better in MEA. Mostly because they involved some decision making (even if those wouldn't have any influence on the story afterwards)

My personal favorite part is that, for more than 2 years they were trying to make "no man's sky" procedural infinite worlds thing (before the no man's sky was announced), with main story parts made by hand, finally to realize that while they can make it work they can't make it fun with current engine and tech, thus abandoning the idea and go back to standard MA story.

Fighting and driving was really well made, I really liked that you could switch classes on the fly in later game. Althought the amount of different enemies was deameaning, we got what? 5 generic aliens, 3 freedomfighters, 5 tech types+ mini boss and boss that not much.

The face animation was bad, really bad I get that animation departament was raided for anthem, engine was bad at faces and you do this late in the dev so they run out of time, but still it hurts when you look at some of them.

NPC where meh, the only one I remember fondly was Krogan and he was pretty simple one, Well the black guy was suprisingly aloof and fun for some reason, other than that I can't say much good about them.

Got deluxe edition at launch. Played about 3 hours, quit shortly after getting to Nexus.

I hated the characters, the acting, the lack of any real story, and the generic shit side quests being thrown my way.

About a week and a half ago I decided to try again. Now that I know the weak points and am not expecting better, it's pretty fun. The shooting works well. Not amazing but not broken. Driving is adequate but honestly there's nothing to fuck up when 85% of every planet is flat. Graphics are pretty good and now that the animation is mostly fixed it isn't distracting.

So if you go in knowing you're there to fight and ignore conversations, it's a 6.5/10. Not world changing but not bad.
