Imo this game was barely an improvement over xblades at all. At least enemies don't take forever to kill at all in blades of time.

To answer you question op. The reason is because there's a lot more female game journalist around than back in the early 2000s. Also there is alot of female devs and insecure nu male fags that work in triple AAA companies now a days as well. All of them want their games to be realistic so having ugly people keeps that realistic vibe in their shitty games.
