Which is the better series /v/?

I prefer Rayman Legends to any 2D Mario game, but I prefer pretty much every 3D Mario to any 3D Rayman game.

His games are well made for the most part
But I enjoy playing Rayman games more

Mario games are very good but I think Rayman games are more creative less risk-free.

Rayman has more consistent quality

I remember playing the hell out of the original Rayman and loving the second one on N64. Thought it transitioned into 3D platforming pretty gracefully. Origins and Legends both look amazing but the controls are way too floaty and loose to me to be enjoyable.

I don't really like the world design in rayman, like the atmosphere and aesthetics

2D rayman is better than 2D mario though

The first Rayman was fucking amazing and its a shame a proper continuation with the same difficulty and art direction was never done.
