Emulate 012 on PPSSPP, it has literally all of original's content + new content and all of original is using the new updated mechanics so it's flat out objectively better.
Also get yourself 012 Prologus (I recommend playing that first) since the story stuff in that one is a prologue to the entire game and it's not actually found in the game itself, only in Prologus. Importing completed Prologus save is also the only way to actually get Lightning's ultimate weapon.

Hardly matters. Get your Brave up to a decent point, kick him up to the ceiling, then throw out a Tornado. It's basically unavoidable in the corner and hits multiple times. If you're above 1600 Brave or so, it will hit enough times to kill regardless.
