they're real-ass games. only real difference between the flash games I played as a kid and the phoneshit people play now is that I wasn't being conned out of money by microtransactions and I was playing good platformers and weird puzzle games and not just candy crush clones.

I replayed the third game recently and I just found the "springiness" of the whole thing annoying. Maybe my tastes have just changed over time.

Flash games are as gamey as you can get. A lot of mobile games and apps are similar except most people who grew up on phones haven't seen a flash game in their lives. I grew up with a Sega Saturn and old, low end PC with terrible internet connection so they were all I really played. Fuck all I did for the most part was use CrazyMonkeyGames and Armour Games.

Recommend me good flash games, I literally bought a gaming pc to play them.

Did anyone ever play Castaway or Castaway 2? They honestly felt like real RPGs. There was leveling, a ton of sidequests, crafting, boss battles, other party members, and a fuck ton of other stuff. I never finished the first one, and the second one took me weeks to beat.

I put them on the same level as mobile games. Yes, some flash games were genuinely well made and had just enough content to be on par with more traditional full-feature games. But just like with mobile games, for every one good game there were literal thousands that were simplistic time wasters at worst or passable mario party tier mini-games at best. Again, just like with mobile games this ratio of shit to good was due in part to the bar of expectations being set very low because nobody can complain about (mostly) free shit.
