I liked the backstory and lore in Brink, it was surprisingly good for a dumb shootan gaem that died a week into its lifecycle. I hate audiobooks as a method of dispensing lore though, because it was only until well after the game had died that I finally got to listen to the whole story.

Just finished Wakfu Season 2 (including movies and specials) and am getting through Dofus.
What a fucking great show, holy shit.
Does no one ever age in this shit? Joris and the old cat man look more or less the same in Wakfu and that's set... I think 1000 years in the future? Ruel's grandmother looks the same in his childhood flashback, for Ecaflip's sake.
Is it common knowledge that Otomai is Ogrest's father? People were so nonplussed about it in the specials.
The show is fantastic and I love how lived-in it feels, but there's some slight weirdness here and there.

Wakfu was intended to use the show as a springboard for launching what is essentially the Dofus game's sequel.
The game was, tragically, developed by people with more vision than brain and suffered for it. Even throughout beta they scrapped things, decided to go in a new, completely different direction with the game, launched it with the intent of it being some crazy pk sandbox with outlaw perks, then did a 180 and turned it into a solo player theme park mmo.

People in Dofus would've moved, if Wakfu were any good. ERP is the only thing I'd consider wakfu good for.

The problem is that the south is extremely residential to the point where you can struggle to just find a bazar, a supermarket, etc... The north of Paris is much less touristical but still has lots of beautiful things to see... It has much more interesting stuff to do, more shops, more cafés and bars, and more activity in general.

I lived in the south of Paris for a few months and it was boring as fuck. I was always meeting my friends in the center or the north of Paris because nobody wanted to come down here : there was just nothing to do.

I actually liked the beta a lot. Every class was completely broken in one way or another, it was extremely fun while it lasted. Though it's normal they had to rebalance things after that, you can't maintain a game in that state for too long or it will get boring I guess.
