Been yuking it up since 2005, want to say 2, but i was so blown away by how perfect 0 was that i find it hard to decide. Yakuza should have always been about a younger chap, and the Dojima liutenants, all older and more long time established for once made them feel like they were REAL yakuza. Chain smoking older men who had put their time in, far more intimidating than Niskiyami, mera or daigo.

Having played 0, I still think 4 is the best

All of them are very good. Personally, 3 is my favorite because of Rikiya. 3 and 4 both kinda blended together for me though.

5 probably has the most content and stuff to do, so maybe that could be a contender aswell.

All of them are great, but the sheer OST alone tops them. Plus the three lieutenants are the essence of Yakuza, and Kuze is the epitome of a 'boss fight'.

Biggest letdown in 0 was not having Majima sing Bakamitai.

Currently playing through 5, it is the only game I played in the series, but I am enjoying it quit a bit. I am only in the second chapter, tho. There are many minigames and side stories to do, which are good.
