In the sims 4 you can die for many reason. One of my characters once died of anger.

Fucking how? I can understand anger because heart attacks and all that shit but other emotiobs make no sense. I did once read it's possible to die from laughing because you can't get any oxygen out but it's very rare only reason people probably know about it is because of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and other cartoons.

Gameplay wise, The Sims 3 is by far the best, but not even a quantum computer could run it flawlessly. It's an unoptimized mess.
The Sims 4 has a great create-a-Sim and good building tools, but the game feels really shallow for whatever reason. Emotions are a terrible gimmick, too.
The Sims 2 has a ton of loading screens, but it has a lot of charm and still runs better than The Sims 3.
I'd personally go for The Sims 2, but if you have a good enough PC try 3. Just don't download every expansion pack.
