Shiekah and yiga were the same but eventually the people of hyrule hated their 10,000 year old magic tech. Two tribes came of it, one that abandoned the old ways of science and magic technology , the current shiekah. The other grew to hate the king who cast them aside and became the yiga and switched sides.

Ganon was literally using shiekah tech to try and reincarnate himself as he cant gain true corporeal form without either building power over many ages or other help. Him "giving up" was just giving up on that robot form

As a pure blank slate, any western RPG lead is better due to the customization options. As a silent character, I'd argue that Doomguy and Jacket from Hotline Miami are the best silent vidya protagonists because the developers get across their characters without them ever speaking. Theres only one plot point that wasnt covered.
Why Impa was doing 100 year ago. She shows rarely talking with royals but you never see what she was doing because urbosa took the place of protector. The 2nd DLC will have a new story and dungeon so we can expect it to be about the 5th race as they are never covered fully. Impa is obviously their hero if we are going by the other games and the 5th dungeon will definitely be shiekah because they are the 5th race and the colors match stuff in game already.

I hope we go under hyrule castle to the ancient construction and research facilities. Where you fight ganon was made by the shiekaf for a reason, as were the 5 pillars that surrounded the castle underground for so long.
