My favorite was the car. You could only play it on one map (Lakitu's Wall? My favorite level in Yoshi's Island) but I spent way too much time playing that segment. I found a glitch where you can wallclimb.

There are a couple pretty solid ROM hacks of Yoshis Island that allow you to play as the car more frequently. One of them even has a car section in Bowers Castle!
