I thought a portable console with high res screen would be neat and damn did it deliver, the screen on this thing is so good. Graphics on the switch are literally not a problem.

It could run Smash Bros. at a pretty constant 60fps with four players going batshit with smash balls while having to render everything twice for the 3D effect.

I'd be pretty surprised if they stuck with 30fps on Metroid, given the scale and detail we've seen so far doesn't seem all that demanding in comparison.

Nintendo targets 60FPS has a history of targeting 60FPS though? F-Zero X/GX, Metroid Prime, any non handheld mario kart after 64, mario odyssey is targeting 60, splatoon does, I believe arms does also. Zelda is one of their only major franchises that does not target 60.

Also its a 3DS game of course it will have a 30FPS lock.

30 FPS is more than playable. Unless you are playing a competitive shooter or MOBA, high framerate is a luxury, not a necessity.

I don't give a fuck IF the gameplay is not compromised. Lot's of old games are only playable around the drop on framerate (Contra 3 would be almost impossible without it on SNES). Most modern games only had lower framerates because of hardware limitations and would play MUCH better on higher numbers (try some PS1 games on the emulator using CPU overclock to see how the game SHOULD be running)
