Ended up figuring out a couple years down the line he had a huge cocaine problem and he was just taking donations (pre-kickstarter/paetron) and using it for drugs. Seriously, it tends to work out for the best. When I half-assed did hat trading before Steam market started I was the same way.
Buddy of mine had a Max head and I told him it was worth around $100 which was the going rate at the time, and I could either sell it for him and take a $20 cut or I could point him in the direction of the shady forums where hatdealing took place and he could sell it.
He opted to go with me and I didn't screw him and took my $20 cut instead of trying to say "I AM YOUR BROTHER PLEASE GIVE HAT"

I didn't. I was always the one getting scammed. though it only happened like 2 times until I learned my lesson.

Honestly I regret doing it, earning someone's trust and ruining friendships so I could steal digital items was in hindsight a very stupid, pointless habit of mine. It feels better now knowing people can safely trust me with their pixels and vice versa because I'd rather have a good friend than some worthless currency in a shit game that doesn't matter at the end of the day.

I spent my time on World of Warcraft running a casino. The rules were simple.

A lowly one, but yes. It's pretty great. I grew up with four dogs, four cats, ducks, chickens, horses, fish, birds, and acres of wildlife, so it was inevitable I guess. Mum loved animals and so do I.

In my country zoos need a charter from the government, not just a license, so they're pretty strictly controlled. We don't have a lot of them in this country and I'm fortunate enough to work at the biggest one. It's a fantastic place for the animals and we have acres and acres of land adjacent to the zoo itself to run the animals on to get them out of their pens.

Our charter also stipulates that we have to do X amount of conservation/research/animal welfare stuff per year, however that is measured, so there's a lot more to it than just showing off the animals as well.

When I was 11 or so years old I found some website that would let you create free pages and I set up a phishing page for runescape. I said I'd trim armor and all that jazz, I must have gotten 20 or so accounts before I stopped.

He showed me his fake email inbox and it was full of people giving him account information. Dude casually pops into this golden axe guy's account and asks me to pick any item to gift.

First and only time I scammed someone, the guy must've been kinda dumb though.

It was in world of warcraft in retail vanilla. I did the mailbox C.O.D scam. I "sold" a shitty epic BoE for 500g, I said I sent the item from my main and accidentally put the C.O.D to 100g, I asked if he could trade me 100g real fast and I would give him the item, he did so and I sent the money to my main and deleted the character.

Never saw him again after that until a year ago when he tried to add my steam account again. I added him and told him to fuck off and then blocked him

I stole a guy's Runescape account info with lvl 80+ mining back in the day. Pretended to be Jagex staff and accused him of being a hacker, so I asked him for password and he just gave it to me. Then I changed his password.

He made a new account just to beg me for his account back and I just taunted him. I never even used the account either.

I thought I was being a badass hacker at the time, but now I just feel awful about it. I wish I could go back and make things right, but it's way too late now.
