are there any multilayer or competitive games where you can take matters in your own hands and win? I'm tired of losing to complicated teams. Even if I suck, I want to be in full control of the situation instead of taking up with people. any games where you can go lone wolf?

Call of Duty. At least early ones. Since most guns are more or less the same and it takes 1-2 bullets to kill, it all comes down to player's individual skill.

Titanfall 2 is a bit like that, but Team comp can win out. The point is, you can meaningfully affect the outcome yourself, even if it's just closing the gap before a loss. It's also more fun to lose sometimes, since you can experiment with the arsenal.
