Thinking about getting a Vita to homebrew it, just wondering if anyone on /v/ has experience and can confirm it's worth it. Can I get the whole system library like on 3ds?
Do it faggot.
You get the entire library of psp, snes, psone neogeo and vita gamesfor free
Yes.
If you get one buy the borderlands 2 bundle NEW. It's confirmed to ship on an old enough version to make homebrewing easy.

That's not entirely true, you can't get any Vita games that require you to have 3.6 (I think that's the one) or higher firmware. Besides that it's a nice little emulation device, and very easy to mod especially now that there is usb support for transferring files.

Awesome. I've always wanted a Vita but fuck it + the memory card is expensive enough especially considering how little I want to give Sony my sheckles. If a few newer games can't be got free then meh whatever. Knowing you can get nes/snes games and the like is a huge bonus anyways.

I´m interested as well.
Can vitas be hacked / downgraded on any firmware or do I need to watch out for the fw version when buying one=
I´m not really interested in the vitas library but more in using it as a mobile emulation device.
What consoles can I emulate (meaning playing them normally and not running at 2 fps), how long does the battery last, and how easy is it to hack this thing?

If you can get your hands on an original Vita with 3g functionality you can mod in a microsd card reader now.
Haven't done it myself because of having the wrong model but the option is there now which is pretty cool.

It needs to be on 3.60 or lower I believe from what I've read. Like this anon >>381264639 said the borderlands2 one will come with the proper firmware for sure. But I think a lot of new models are sold on 3.60.
I'm OP though so I don't know a whole this is just from what I've researched myself.
