With the announcement of Atari's return to videogame consoles, will we see Airworld finally released and the contest continued?
can we skip ahead to inspector gadget memes talk
1.) The existence of reviewers means that they wouldn't be able to pull this kind of thing today. People would know what the games are like and buy them on those judgements, as opposed to buying them blind based on a name like "FireWorld" and the contest advertisement.
2.) Most game players today are idiots, and would cry like babies because they can't solve even the most basic puzzles. Something as obtuse as these would just have them protesting on Facebook and downvoting Youtube videos, doing more damage to Atari than good.
>mfw nintendorks, sowhats, and microdicks will never ever play the Swordquest series

tl;dr:
>Atari holds a contest around a series of games
>each game contains hidden messages
>deciphering them enters you in a contest with the chance to win real-life treasure
>Earthworld winner gets a talisman
>Fireworld winner gets a chalice
>Waterworld winner gets a crown
>Airworld winner gets a Philosopher's Stone
>afterwards all four winners compete in a final contest to get a sword
>Earthworld and Fireworld contests go off without a hitch
>By the time Waterworld is released the crash happens. Waterworld never gets it contest, and Airworld is never released at all.
>Atari sells off the remaining three treasures, which are melted down
>Earthworld winner melts and sells the talisman to pay for college
>only the chalice remains today
