Me and my friend were watching it. I saw the space and thought it was a new Star Fox. Then, the 4 came on screen, and I said "metroid prime 4?" I'd still wager that these were experiments conducted solely by a few shady people unbeknownst to the rest of the federation. It might be interesting for there to be a followup game in which this group tries to overthrow the rest of the federation and seize power, and Samus helps to disperse them, but otherwise, I don't like the idea of the whole federation being in on making bioweapons and going after Samus after she disposes of them.

I actually wasn't positive it was Prime 4, even with the music. The music was literally from Prime, but it's still the overall Metroid theme song. I was pretty excited though, still need to finish Prime 3.

I'm a huge Metroidfag and I wasn't, because I fucked up and ended up staying up really late the night before Nintendo's first day at E3, so right before they did their Direct, I fell asleep and I didn't get to see anything about it until after it was done, which was disappointing and took away some of the hype for me.

Honestly, I absolutely was. I played all the Prime games growing up, and loved them all - and Prime is still my favorite video game of all time. I couldn't not get hyped. Even if it was just a logo. I completely understand why others don't feel the same way, but I sincerely felt a rush of genuine happiness when I saw the number 4.
