It's said that the game is in the final stage of development, but they're still drawing monster sprites and shop/NPC portraits and backgrounds. Shouldn't that come earlier in dev?

Did you see the gameplay trailer? It's looking great, I don't think there's anything to be worried about except the quality of the puzzles because so many unique ideas were already used for puzzles in La-Mulana and I'm not sure where else they can take it that's fresh

Yes, even in that trailer they clearly knew what they were doing and have taken their time to make sure it stands up to what was already there, plus it's going to supposedly have 18 areas and 9+ bosses so it's understandable that it's taken a long time

I took a deep dive into the alpha and seen some interesting things.One of the worlds apparently goes entirely upside down (there are tiles that are flipped vertically, including doors), and the world of Ice and Fire uses water stream mazes, I'm just afraid of another delay at this point.
