I predict it will be like a ouya or steambox, not a real console.
However, I do believe a new (real) Atari console or Sega console could actually be a success.
If you look at who is in the weakest place in the market right now it's microsoft. The Xbox is a bubble brand with no substance. Just one more real competitor with a solid product, i mean good exclusive games, would drive people away from microsoft who has poor first party.
The Ps4 has the market majority and good exclusives, nintendo has nintendo games and its niche gimmicks. Xbox has none of these. Microsoft has the money to keep the brand in production for years, but whats the point if their profit leaves to a new competitor?
I believe there is room to replace Microsoft. Atari and Sega both have Brand name and franchises to work with. They would probably just need an edge and exclusive games.
