I replayed the game in April and shed a few. I was surprised at how much I still like the world, story, and characters.

I was 14 when I first played this. I felt nothing but cringe.
Years later I discovered people found this emotional. For fuck sake people, i cried playing games too (silent hill 2 leave ending still strikes me) but this shit? This is so cringy. I can imagine a 8 year old girl finding this crying inducing.

But for a normal person? THere wasn't even any chemistry between the two. Both were annoying and their relation forced.

I actually liked X-2. A lot of things felt overly goofy or dumb, but some ideas were pretty neat like the Ronso attempting genocide or Spira being in political conflict. It's a shame all of the interesting stuff got shunted to sidequests, though, while the main story was just "muh Romeo and Juliet romance between ghosts". The Den of Woe scared the fuck out of me, though.
