The 6th gen era Sonic collections (Mega Collection and Gems Collection) had the most love put into them. They had all sorts of videos, artwork, renders and comics you could unlock, and great music to go with them.

After 6th gen consoles, we had Sonic Classic Collection for DS which just reused Sonic World music from Sonic Jam, along with some images of Classic Sonic art which was alright I guess. After that it was just individual games sold on PSN and XBLA with no art or anything to look at. They did have leaderboards though.
