Quest stages. If you don't finish side quests by certain points in the main story quest line, you auto fail the side quests and they become uncompletable. It also fucks up quests that would have become available in future stages because you failed the prerequisite. It's annoying as fuck.

It would've gone a lot faster than that. You would probably have caught up in less than 5 hours. When you're already used to the mechanics of the game and know exactly what to do to get back to where you were you zoom through that shit easily.

I failed that quest too though and I'm still angry about it. Only reason I didn't was because I got memed into minmaxing so I had already restarted 3 times over, wasn't gonna fucking do it again. Worst thing is minmaxing literally is a meme, I would have had more fun on my first playthrough if I had just played whatever I wanted. You can never get the first playthrough back so shit like this really pisses me off, but I've learned my lesson and swear to only play through games blindly now.
