I got he special edition for the cool toy, it hit the bargain bin real quick.

That game was weirdly ambitious. Free roaming maps, Metroid Prime scanning with lore, two full campaigns, third person action games with skill trees and cuztomizable loadouts n shit. I only beat the Naavi campaign and you can really tell they ran out of money/time at the end where you ride the big thing like in the movie but it's just a cutscene where you sit on the thing and it auto-flies to the end cutscene.

Twisted Metal 3 and 4 catch too much shit really. Both are enjoyable games, but they are weaker than V8 1 and 2. TM4 is also hard as FUCK. You basically need to know all the input moves, and knowing the teleport one is damn near mandatory form the final boss due to his insane homing special attack that can kill you if it sticks to you for too long.

Anyway, after that whole E3 thing, I somehow wound up replaying a game I never thought I'd ever go back to just because of pure curiosity. Its DS cartridge feels shoddy and the Adventure Mode lasted two fucking hours in my hand, beat it in the same game out of sheer curiosity. It was a game purchased by my brother to which I thought "Well, it can't be that bad".

It's actually not that bad, but damn, are the mini-games in Rabbids TV Party mind blowing repetitive. For some unbelievably dumb reason, I don't even mind the Another One Bites The Dust and these other song covers.

I'm still wondering what possessed him to grab hold of this copy. I wonder if he ever thought to himself "Yeah, this is what I'm gonna buy as a birthday gift".

Probably get a lot of flak but I do enjoy Battleborn but I completely understand the justified hate it gets.

Its plagued by so many bad decisions and design choices that any good the game has is overshadowed by all the shit. I'm indifferent on the Gearbox humor/writing.

Some of the character's ability sets and gimmicks are fun. I like the concepts of all these remnants of alien races banding together, but its underutilized, the closest "alien" thing being the mushroom guy. There are three characters that are talking birds...

Heavily refine the UI, refine the character models to be less busy and lower superfluous details, instead of having RNG gear loot boxes that create power gaps between the playerbase just offer predefined gear everyone has access to. Its sad to see things have barely changed since its release

Uncharted 1-3. Genuinely bad platformers with cookie cutter magnetic ledges, run-of-the-mill & often out-of-place gunplay and a serious lack of focus in fleshing out the entertaining singleplayer campaign in exchange for tacked on multiplayer.

Seriously even on the hardest difficulty it takes 6 hours to 100% everything. What a shitty excuse for a 60 dollar game.

Still had fun, for the EXTREMELY short period of time it lasted. And it wasn't challenging since the game did all the platforming for you, you just moved the analog stick.

This really does look like a smattering of Gunz and Quake, not bad at all.

Also, Gunz and Super Monday Night Combat were my go to multiplayer games for a hot minute.

Gunz was a janky mess and barely a playable game, and SMNC was the most snowbally game I have ever played. Still loved the core mechanics of SMNC, shit had a decent amount of depth.

I'm pretty sure I was the best Combat Girl player in the goddamn thing. I used to snipe so many people with that lazer when they tried retreating to spawn.

While Drakengard's gameplay is bland and repetitive, I don't think it's as terrible as people say it is. It's functional, and you can play around with the different weapon's magic. I also liked how you could do AoE attacks at certain points during combos, and how you can only get health back by attacking enemies.

You only get 4 lives per tournament in TM4, or so I thought. In 2 and Black you get 2 per stage and they refill when you game over. I remember in TM4 that when you gameover you can only load your save, so if you save at the end with 1 life you only get one shot at that level.

4's final boss also has the most bullshit special move, but Black's bosses can be pretty tough too.
