The GF's small arms don't seem that much better than the UNSCs. From what I recall they mainly use arm mounted rapid-fire plasma guns and a heavy laser weapon that takes too long to charge. UNSC has greater variety with assualt rifles, shotguns, railguns, rocket launchers, sniper rifles and their own laser cannon that's far more effective. Course I haven't played Prime 3 in forever and I never touched Other M so I could be really underestimating the GF's weapons.

The problem with this match up is that halo is grounded in reality (to an extent) and everything the unsc uses can be explained through our current understanding of physics, materials, and quantum mechanics. Samus and Metroid don't have that factor, so they will win everytime due to not being constrained by reality.
