I played the first hour on pstv and thought it was fun. I like the art and character body types more than Senran and the combat seems a bit more flashy too.

Valkyrie Drive is about a world where a virus which empowers girls runs rampant. There are two variants: The V-Virus, and the VR-Virus.

The VR-Virus is significantly stronger than the V-Virus, and causes girls to gain powers strong enough to warrant a world-war -- couple that with an aggressive attitude as a secondary side-effect, the Valkyries ended up being used for war. The story takes place on a neutral man-made island where scientists are looking into the virus with hopes that it gets cured, as those infected will become increasingly aggressive until they lose their minds.

That said, the V-virus come into two catagories: The Extar and the Liberator.

The first catagory is about girls who can turn their entire body into conventional weapons.

The second catagory is about girls who can wield these weaponized lesbians.

Both of these are caused by the virus running rampant in the world as well.

However, the only trigger known for this transformation is the soul being on the same wave-length and their feelings coinciding.

What this means is:

>Girls are only effective in fighting if they initially like each other, as they can only maintain their power-up / transformation with a stable mind
>Girls can personally feel how the other girl is feeling when they are transformed and paired

So essentially, the most effective means of powering up is to turn into a lesbian and go with your lover as feelings = strength
The girls in bhikkhuni are in the special VR-class: a deviant of the virus which allows the girls to both transform into a weapon AND wield weapons. Additionally, they're exponentially stronger than the ones in the V-class. They transform in the same ways, but they have multiple transformation levels, and can even DBZ-fusion together with one consciousness should they love each other enough
