I enjoyed the game. It wasn't my favorite RE though.
If I had to criticize it, it would be that it feels a bit half baked. It's not incomplete, but I do feel like they planned to do much more with it then they did.

Nah. It's my least favorite mainline Resident Evil game, but it's not a bad game by any means. It was also better than The Evil Within, but that doesn't really take all that much to pull off.

5 is my favourite RE game. 7 was really fun and took me by surprise. Also played 4 for the first time last week, i should've played it before 5, the controls were awful, 5 improved everything from 4 is almost every way

I never pretended it was a good game in the first place, it does absolutely nothing well in the genre it's trying to get into aside graphics, and it fails at being a resident evil game. All the bullshit you saw with all the marketers spamming "BUT MUH LIMITED AMMO, MUH ATMOSPHERE" is literally trying to save face for it flaws.

Yes it does do atmosphere decently well, yes it's "pretty", and there's a sense of ammo conservation, but there's so much more to a resident evil game. and don't even get me started on it being a first person shooter. and before the defense force chimes in, I don't care about the FPS spinoffs, I refuse to count those failed ventures.

The family segments were incredibly scripted and fake feeling, so much so it completely took me out of the game. The weapons felt incredibly fake too, just literally what the fuck were they thinking.


tl;dr It was all the normalfags, marketing agencies, and offsiters we're infested with. No sane person called it good.

At the risk of being told I'm dropping bait, RE7 genuinely didn't grab me. Just something about it left me cold. Not saying there's nothing good about it, I'm guessing it's the new series sweetheart for a reason, but whatever there is in there, I just couldn't find it.

The game is too dumb and in your face to be scary, reminds me of Dead Space 2's beginning, how Mia gets in your face going BLAAARGH PLEASE BE SCARED.

Then the house doesn't have anything scary to it. You're running from redneck guy in all well lit room, the only surprise is that he may break a wall or two here and there. This isn't really scary, it's just annoying rather.

I just wish we had gotten more puzzles like the birthday cake instead boring shit we had to do with Mia. Towards the end some of the puzzles were more annoying than fun. The rest are RE only in name, i really don't know why some here consider this thread as bait. We have a good (not perfect) game from Mikami vs Capcom's Pacinko version of Resident Evil. Those titles are RE only in names and please don't start telling me that faggot at the end of 7 is Redfield or some Wesker revival BS. It's just in name and it does not work.
