What is the best Linux-exclusive?
>>381186161
pls go
>>381186670
That's not how FOSS works. Intellectual property is an arbitrary concept, so a piece of software that rejects "exclusiveness" can't have any exclusives.

Then I'll stick to Windows and its exclusives, thanks.

I dual boot for now, but I still do a decent amount of gaming on Linux. I think it's a lot better than Windows once you find the right distro and set things up to how you like it.
>I play video games
>I am smart enough to write software
pick one

Any tips, anon? I've been meaning to get into it for years and with the increasing aggressiveness they're pushing W10 with looks like the day I finally make the switch is coming sooner than later
>>381188383
If you're interested in it then I would start with one of the Ubuntu distros or something based on Debian. It's easier to get into and chances are you'll find the solution to any problem you have through some googling.
Like, I don't do a whole lot. I browse, play video games, listen to music, sometimes mess with image editing, and I have a budget. All of that shit I can do in Linux just fine, so I haven't had many moments where I've absolutely needed to switch back.
If your PC is good enough, there's also PCI-e passthrough, so you could basically run Windows inside of a VM instead of dual booting if you need it.
