Star Fox is fucked in the "it's dead" way, could come back some day but I wouldn't bet on it. Paper Mario is fucked in the "they're gonna keep throwing darts at a whiteboard" way though with that in mind it's possible a future one might actually be a fun game even if all the other elements people like the early games for will still probably be fucked unless we get another staff shuffle.

ForceFed and Hey! Pikmin are just harmless spin-offs released between major titles, and Pikmin doesn't even have the recent history Metroid had that gave it its controversy.

Pikmin 3 came out four years ago. Pikmin 4 was "announced" before this one was and has yet to release any information or media despite being almost done a while back. People are wary of unique, lower-priority nintendo IPs being turned into handheld sidescrollers after chibi-robo.

Truth be told, I don't think Pikmin is in desperate need of a mainline game or anything, I could wait a few more years for Pikmin 4, but the way they announced it is annoying, and nothing about Hey Pikmin looks interesting to me as a Pikmin fan so it just seems pointless.

The only problem with the gyro aiming is that in third person view, the reticle didn't actually line up. You're forced to use the cockpit view to actually aim your shots.
